World Tourism Day is an event celebrated every year on September 27th since 1980 by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). UNWTO celebrates World Tourism Day in many countries around the world with various topics chosen for presentation. World Tourism Day 2016 was held in the amazing city of Bangkok, Thailand, operated by the UNWTO, the Ministry of Tourism of Thailand, Amazing Thailand, and CNN as a media partner. The event took place at the Siam Kempinski Hotel in the heart of Bangkok, bringing together 500 participants from 175 countries around the globe.
